Exciting opportunity for a CIMA / CIM / Banking past finalist/ graduate to work in the UK Financial sector (office based in Sri Lanka)

The WIS Group, a fast-growing group of companies in the Accountancy and Financial services industry in the UK seeks to recruit a Compliance Officer (Mortgages) to be employed in the mortgage advisory arm of the company.

WIS mortgages works with all leading UK banks, Insurers and Mortgage Brokers and provide financial advice to its clients through financial advisors. The recruit will undergo a training period after which will be required to ensure that the company complies with its outside regulatory and legal requirements as well as internal policies and bylaws.

This is an excellent opportunity to break into the financial services sector and work with leading international Banks and Insurers

We are looking for:

• Sharp individuals who can work independently with very limited supervision.
• Excellent standard of English expected (Written and spoken)
• Excellent report-writing skills
• Good analytical skills
• Work UK hours (2.00 pm to 10.0pm in the winter and 1.30 pm to 9.30 pm in the summer) from our Office - Bernard's Business Park, Dutugemunu Steet, Kohuwala.

What is expected from the role Financial Support Officer (Mortgages):

• Checking documents against the checklist to ensure all the required documents and details required.
• Getting assured whether all documents are in accurate format and align with FCA guidelines.
• Checking the offer letter to ensure all details (rate, name, product) are mentioned correctly.
• Go through the bank statements with professional skepticism to identify unusual transactions.
